This surface modifying coating effectively reduces the coefficient of friction on the surface of the tool, allowing the part to slip freely from the mold during ejection. The coating forms a molecular bond with the substrate and will not contaminate the plastic part. Even the strictest requirements for medical parts are adhered to with Tungstenite.
Tungstenite is only 0.5 micrometers thick and does not build up on itself or on the tool, providing a uniform coverage over the entire surface. Finished tools are easily processed as the procedure applies no heat, or any adverse conditions, and with such a thin coating tolerances are maintained!
