In addition to advances in composite coatings we have also developed methods and processes for combining coating properties in multi layered systems. Beryllium copper tips as shown in the figure are a common component coated with High Phosphorus Electroless Nickel and Physical Vapor Deposited coatings such as Titanium Nitride. This system has worked exceptionally well in a variety of difficult to mold materials, and is used on cores, cavities, inserts, pins, pre-forms, ect.
